vendors. Your tenants will be required to do the same at
move-out. |

You will probably need to have your home’s interior painted once it

your home is in move-in condition and to protect it from
damage, such as termite infestation and moisture damage. |

If you do not have a termite policy on your property, you should
consider obtaining one. In addition, if it has been more than
a year since your home was last inspected for termites, we
recommend that you have it inspected before you leave. |

You will need to change your current homeowners policy into a
“dwelling fire policy” with liability coverage. We have found
the following two insurance companies to have very competitive
rates for landlord insurance. |

If you have damaged, stained, or worn carpet, you may find that
replacing all or some of your carpet will help to rent the
house faster and possibly at a higher price. |
